OUR HISTORY

Organisational background

Youth and Women for Social and Economic Empowerment (YWSOEE) is a voluntary-led community-based organization dedicated to improving the socio-economic status of Youth, rural women and children in Wakiso Uganda.

Founded in 2017 by Ms. Nakanwagi Sarah, the organization was established in response to the pressing challenges faced by rural women and children, including poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare.

The organization’s founders recognized the critical role that women play in rural communities and the need to empower them with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to improve their livelihoods. Since its inception, YWSOEE has worked tirelessly to promote community development, education, and economic empowerment among rural women and children.
